Wools unique features

Our health is the most important thing we own and if we feel good we will also have a great quality life. Many have already discovered that wool does not only improve the quality of their sleep but also their health.

Wool has 3 outstanding features that give you the best sleep and also protects your health.

Wool feature nr. 1

Thanks to the air that wool fibers have, you will be both isolated from cold and heat regardless of the temperature. It makes our own body temperature adjust whilst sleeping and you will not sweat or be cold during the night, regardless of the temperature in your bedroom. Wool can absorb up til 30% of its own weight without changing its shape or having a humid touch. This means that our body can keep its temperature and heat even when wool is humid. Wool simply adapts to the conditions. Humidity or moisture in textiles is harmful for us and facilitates bacteria but wool’s features make its exterior dry. Fibers absorb moisture as if it was just condensation at the same time as it repels the existing floating.

Wool feature nr. 2

Your body produces sweat to refresh and that’s why moisture increases in your bed. Wool has a wax called lanolin (wool fat). It’s a natural fat that repels moisture and dirt.
This makes wool the cleanest and driest material we could sleep on. If we use wool as bed linen we will avoid sleeping in a cold and moistered environment. Lanolin and its natural feature of working and breathing itself avoid your body from getting cold and sweaty. Wool keeps your bed clean and dry during the night and avoids interrumpted nights because we feel our bed too moistered. Many people with asthma and eczemas choose wool as bed linen because nostrils will be mite free.

Wool feature nr. 3

Wool fibers are even a therapy to our body as we are given a micromassage during the night. This helps joints and stiff muscles, nerves in your legs, bad blood circulation, cramps and eczemas.
